We mentioned in our previous newsletter about VALUES that influence our actions, decisions and therefore our lives. In this newsletter we wish to look at a value statement that many employers have:

Integrity: The short definition is:

The consistent practice of honesty, reliability, ethical principles and accountability.

The behaviours that (should) go with INTEGRITY are (in practice):

·  Communicating openly, being transparent in all aspects, admitting mistakes, and sharing important information (honesty)

·  being dependable and following through on commitments (reliability)

·  doing the right thing, even when no one is watching (ethical principles)

· owning mistakes, admitting when you are wrong and not passing blame to others (accountability)

Implementing the RAVE (Random Acts of Values Enhancement) initiative could be a valuable exercise to establish if all in your teams have the full practical application AND understanding of the concept of INTEGRITY and IF all are actively practicing AND living this value.
