Contracts of Employment and Job Descriptions (or KPA’s)

The objective of relevant and current employment contracts is to ensure the contractual relationship is aligned with the vision and strategy of the company. Clear Job Descriptions are the foundation for establishing specific job requirements, the communication of clear performance expectations, to evaluate performance, use for recruitment as well as to establish training needs.

Developing or Reviewing human resources policies and procedures

The HR manual developed and compiled by Uluma HR includes ALL policies and procedures relating to human resources and complies with current labour legislation, i.e. the Labour Relations Act (LRA), the Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), the Employment Equity Act (EEA), the Skills Development Act (SDA) and the Occupational Health and Safety Act. The development of the HR Manual includes a 2 hour workshop to communicate the policies and procedures.

Performance Management

Performance Management is a key activity to enable employees in achieving the company's vision and values. UHR develops the format / system and procedure which is best suited for the company. It would be user-friendly in order to pro-actively manage performance to either ensure maximum productivity or to ensure poor performance is improved and/or dealt with legally correctly and professionally.

Discipline Management

90% of all managers' challenges are people-related - we also assist with any disputes and chair disciplinary and incapacity hearings as well as assist with managing change.

Recruitment

Uluma HR assists with the full recruitment service from preparing the advert, media to advertise, response handling, assist with the selection process, prepare a detailed comparative analysis, and assist with the interview process. Uluma HR is certified to use the MOTTO Individual Assessment and the MOTTO Gender Perception Tool which are valuable tools to ensure the right candidate is recruited.

General Consulting

We consult on all other aspects of Human Resources such as compliance to labour legislation, management of all leave entitlements, working hours, overtime, amendments to conditions of service, alternatives to ensure sustainability of the employer, induction, probationary reviews, skills development, performance of employees or teams.
