August being the month where we honour and celebrate WOMEN, is therefore the perfect time to launch the MOTTO Gender Perception Tool that Uluma HR is now formally certified to coach and consult on for individuals and teams. Visit MOTTO’s website: www.motto.za.net
South Africa needs women who are self-empowered and view themselves as equal and businesses need to attract, retain and develop female employees, ensuring the best participation and contribution from women in the workplace. Furthermore, with reference to gender-based violence in South Africa, is it not the perfect time to conduct these assessments within our organisations and teams?
The MOTTO Gender Perception Tool consists of 2 surveys, one for women as a self-reflection tool to measure their perception of themselves and the other for men to measure their perception of women in the workplace.
After the comparative analysis of both the women’s and men’s results, gaps in perceptions can be identified and subsequent key focus areas can be pinpointed. The Tool enables organisations to identify personal and group gender challenges for all staff and then to create a culture and work environment that ensures they employ well, keep key female talent and empower men to assist in changing the culture to be fully inclusive.
