And so we come to the end of 2020. I think we all are quite pleased about it!
We trust valuable lessons were learnt – whether being much more technologically advanced (‘tech savvy’) and comfortable in front of the camera with Zoom, MS Teams, the value and importance of looking after our health and wellbeing, seriously working on having an emergency fund, new terminology used (‘grendeltyd’, Corona is a virus…..Covid19, social distancing, wearing masks (even when going into a bank!), etc etc.
After all the challenges of this year, let’s show some kindness wherever we go and make it a part of our everyday lives! It is said that:
- Showing a little kindness is an effective way to improve your life
- Being kind to yourself encourages others to do the same
- MOST importantly: It’s contagious in a different way to Covid19! We reflect the joy of others. Kindness comes back to us. It helps restore our faith in humanity because, these days, it’s rather unusual
- And LASTLY, it’s effective @ work. You need to believe in people for them to develop. Finding the talents, strengths and hidden values of colleagues and showing them your appreciation for them, is a potent tool in promoting a more enjoyable and successful work environment. If people feel cared for they cooperate, engage and are productive and positive far more than if they are criticised.
It takes three (3) things to make a diamond:
